Give Your Clients Your Love This Year
It’s February and love is in the air! As a real estate professional, you know that your business would not exist without your clients. We’ve put together some great tips on how to show your real estate clients love not only in February, but all year long.
Make Life Easy for Your Clients
As a real estate professional, you know that your career is driven by commissions, and it is really easy to get caught up in the moment of a sale. Remember that in the midst of this, your clients are also trying to live their lives. Show your clients a little extra love by making yourself familiar with their schedules and doing your best to provide your services during the times they appreciate it the most. Of course, healthy boundaries are important to maintain, after all, you have a family and a life too. But the reality is real estate is not a 9 to 5 profession. At the end of the day, your clients will be that much more appreciative if they’re able to reach you when it’s best for them.
Give Your All on Every Listing
If you’ve been in the real estate industry for any amount of time, you’ll know that selling a home can be a highly emotional process. It doesn’t matter if a home is big or small, immaculate or in need or repair, beautifully kept or in a hot mess – sellers are generally emotionally attached in some capacity to their home and care deeply about how the sale transpires. That means you need to care, too. No matter the size of commission check you’ll receive, it’s important to treat every real estate client and every property with an equal amount of care and consideration. Love your clients by treating everyone with the same level of care, this will do wonders for your reputation as well.
Consider Your Client’s Safety and Privacy
Love your clients by setting reasonable safeguards to protect them. For example, open houses in particular leave sellers vulnerable to property damage, privacy invasion, and theft of all kinds. Keep in mind that many habits that keep agents safe – such as verifying a prospective buyer’s identity before a showing – also protects sellers. Other ways you can help protect your clients is to treat their personal information and documents with care, remind sellers to pack away their family photos and valuables before showings, or hire a security guard for open houses.
Share the Love Online
Show your clients love online by posting pictures or videos of them in their new home or during the process (with their permission of course). Who doesn’t love getting a social media shoutout? While it’s a great way to show your clients love, it also allows you to share to your network and beyond the services you provide and how happy you make your clients. Another great idea to spread the love virtually is to ask your past clients to share their “love stories” related to your services that you can post to your Facebook and other social medias. Did someone propose in a house you sold them? Did you help a couple find the home of their dreams to raise their first child in? Everyone loves reading stories about other people’s lives, and this kind of content will drum up some warm and fuzzy feelings about your business.
Give Your Brand’s Love to a Good Cause
Generate some good feelings around your brand by creating a love story between your business and a good cause that’s close to your heart. This could mean anything from donating your time, energy, social status and/or money to a charity or organization during the “month of love” that is February. It’s a good way to spread the love to another cause besides your own, and doing this can create a buzz around your business’s big-hearted gesture. You can build up more buzz around this gesture by posting about it on your social medias where you can take the time to talk about your efforts and progress.
